OverviewIssue: In Tunisia, the right to information is legal, ethical and deontological. The thoracic surgeon must inform the patient suffering from bronchopulmonary cancer (KBP) about his or her disease, treatment and post-operative follow-up, which is not always respected.Aims: To develop an information form and a model consent form for patients undergoing surgery for KBP in the thoracic surgery department.Methodology: Review of the literature on curative surgery for KBP and analysis of Tunisian and international legal texts concerning patient information and consent.Discussion: KBP is a frequent pathology. Surgery is an important therapeutic option, despite its specific complications. Information given to the patient must be clear, complete and fair. Free and informed consent is essential, barring legal exceptions. Conclusion: Information and consent forms have been developed for KBP surgery. Their national validation will enable wider use and adaptation to other pathologies.
