Author Information

Jason L. Stienmetz is Assistant Professor of Tourism Information Technology and Digitalization for the Department of Tourism and Service Management, Modul University Vienna (Austria).  His research interests include measuring, modeling, and managing tourism destination systems; visitor experience and value creation; and big data. He serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Travel Research and the Journal of Information Technology and Tourism. Berta Ferrer-Rosell is Associate Professor (Serra Hunter) at University of Lleida (Spain). She is Coordinator of the Joint Degree in Business Administration and Tourism and Director of Research Excellence at IFITT. Her research interests focus on the analysis of the tourism sector (destinations, companies, and tourists) through ICT and compositional analysis. She serves on several journal editorial boards (e.g., Journal of Information Technology and Tourism). David Massimo is Researcher at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano (Italy). His research activity focuses on recommender systems and decision support. He published the outcome of his work in international conferences like ACM RecSys, ACM IUI, and UMAP. He received two best paper awards from the IFITT federation for his research contribution to eTourism.
