Author Information

Wolfgang Wörndl is Senior Researcher and Lecturer at the Department of Informatics of the Technical University of Munich (TUM, Germany). His current research focuses on interactive recommender systems in mobile scenarios such as travel and tourism. He has co-organized and served as a program committee member for a large number of journals, conferences, and workshops, e.g., Co-Chair of the Workshop on Recommenders in Tourism (RecTour) series at the ACM RecSys Conference. Chulmo Koo is Professor and Chair in the Smart Tourism Education Platform (STEP), and Managing Director of the Smart Tourism Research Center (STRC), Kyung Hee University (Seoul, Korea). His current research interests focus on smart tourism, and his work has been published in journals like Tourism Management, Journal of Tourism Research, International Journal of Hospitality Management, Information Technology and People, Electronic Markets, Current Issues in Tourism, Asia Pacific Journal of Tourism Research, and other prominent outlets. Jason L. Stienmetz is Assistant Professor of Tourism Information Technology and Digitalization for the Department of Tourism and Service Management, Modul University Vienna (Austria).  His research interests include measuring, modeling, and managing tourism destination systems; visitor experience and value creation; and big data.  Dr. Stienmetz serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Travel Research and the Journal of Information Technology and Tourism.
