Overview

While the focus of the first edition was on sub-Saharan Africa, this second edition has significantly expanded contents that include the majority of the infectious diseases of livestock (cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, and horses) that occur world-wide. To facilitate its handleability and user-friendliness, the new edition will be printed as a set of three volumes. Each of the infectious diseases is dealt with in terms of its introduction and history, epidemiology, pathogenesis, clinical signs, pathology, diagnosis, differential diagnosis, and control. A comprehensive list of references is provided for each disease. To facilitate readability the references are numbered in the text.
