Dr. Hammad’s research focuses on Industry 4.0, Smart Manufacturing, and the Security of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). He has authored the book Computer Aided Engineering Design and Manufacturing: A Fourth Industrial Revolution Perspective, reflecting his deep engagement with emerging technologies. His work exemplifies the innovative spirit driving modern engineering and technological advancement. Hassan Ali is a doctoral researcher in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Aveiro, Portugal, and a research fellow affiliated with the ProMetheus/UIDM Research Unit at the Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo (IPVC). He holds a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from GIKI, Pakistan (2023), and a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar, where he graduated with distinction and received the University Gold Medal in 2021. Hassan’s research interests include metal additive manufacturing (MAM), particularly Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF), and numerical process simulations. He has co-authored several peer-reviewed journal articles, conference papers, and textbooks. In addition to his research, he actively contributes to academic writing, European research proposal development (including Horizon Europe), and collaborative initiatives in Industry 5.0, digital twins, and human-centric manufacturing systems. Dr. Ghulam Hussain is a full professor of Mechanical Engineering with extensive experience in both academia and industry. He is widely recognized for his contributions to manufacturing science, with expertise spanning Additive and Hybrid Manufacturing, Sustainable Manufacturing, Metal Forming, Welding, Material Characterization, Process Modeling and Optimization, and Surface Engineering. Dr. Hussain has authored over 145 scholarly articles and edited multiple books published by Taylor & Francis. His work has received over 5,550 citations, with an H-index of 41. He ranks among the top 10 researchers globally in Incremental Forming and is the 6th top researcher nationally in Engineering. Since 2021, he has consistently been listed among the world’s top 2% scientists. He collaborates actively with leading universities worldwide and serves as an editor and board member for several prestigious international journals. Prof. Wang Xiaoping is a professor at the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA). He earned his PhD from the Department of Aerospace Manufacturing Engineering at Northwestern Polytechnical University in 2002. He has served as a visiting professor at Arizona State University, USA, and currently acts as a consulting expert for the Chinese Academy of Engineering. He is also a member of the editorial board of the international journal Current Engineering Letters and Reviews. Prof. Wang’s research focuses on digital design and manufacturing, automated fiber placement/tape laying for composites, robotic path planning, and optimization of mathematical models in intelligent manufacturing. He has received three awards at the provincial or ministerial level, holds three authorized invention patents, and has published three books.
