Litt from the University of Paris 3 (published in 1992 by Ecole Française d'Extrême-Orient) and was awarded the Giles Award by?the?French?Academy?in?1995. He has taught at the University of Benghazi (Libya), the University of Punjab (Lahore, Pakistan), the University of Lyons 3 (France) and the University of Delhi (India).
