Dhana Raju obtained his MSc and PhD in Geology from Andhra University, India. He has served as an Associate Director of the Atomic Minerals Directorate (AMD) for Exploration and Research in the Department of Atomic Energy for the Government of India, as well as Honorary Visiting Professor in the Department of Applied Geochemistry of Osmania University, India. He has published 170 peer-reviewed research papers, authored four books, and edited three volumes. He is the recipient of a number of awards, including the National Mineral Award in Mineral Exploration, the S. Narayanaswamy Award in Economic Geology, and the Professor P.R.J. Naidu Gold Medal.
