Overall, this book is a very significant addition to the area of Indian fiscal policy and is very timely. Y.V. Reddy was Chairman, Fourteenth Finance Commission, and Governor, Reserve Bank of India. He has served both the Central and State Governments in various capacities. G.R. Reddy is Adviser (Finance) to the Government of Telangana and served the Government of India and State Governments in the area of public finance and Union-State relations.
