Middle-aged Californian Kat Mancini has lost the love lottery and paid with a broken heart so many times, she now steers clear of romantic entanglements. Sometimes she misses being in love, but at fifty-four she's pleased to look closer to forty, and comfortable with her emotionally stable life. Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Dana Michaels is a former West Coast musician, radio personality, news director and program director. She also did public and media relations work for non-profit organizations, the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, and State Parks, for many years.
