Author Information

The author of In Your Bones also created the art in this book. Dena Parker Duke said it flowed out of a meditative retreat that she took part in at the Monastery of St. Gertrude in Cottonwood, Idaho. She created pieces of art using the Zentangle(R) method to enrich her practice of silence and meditation. Then, she began to see how their shapes and shadows fit right in with her poems, as if they fit together with all their woven twists and turns. Sometimes words are just not enough.
