He has a bachelor's degree, a masters degree in library and information science, and a masters in theology. In 2011, Marc and his wife Margo retired to Savannah, Georgia. Since the COVID pandemic, which resulted in the compilation of his first published poetry book, he has become an active and amused poet, and frequently reads his poems at Savannah open mics.
