Author Information

Roz Preston is an Aberdeen born author now living in Edinburgh. After a varied career including dressmaker, teacher, political aide and boatbuilder, Roz began writing seriously in 2015. Her genre is Commercial Women's Fiction and she writes about the complexities of relationships formed in mid life where loss and grief feature in complex past lives. As a lover of the sea and a keen sailor, Roz uses her own experience of the Western Isles as a backdrop to her writing and her main male protagonist's career as a boatbuilder echoes her memories of building boats in dusty sheds. Her understanding of the music industry comes form 25 years of being married to it in the form of her late husband, music industry executive John Preston, and her knowledge of Westminster from her years spent as part of the Blair administration.
