In 2016, Jackson began his career as an author, writing critically acclaimed picture books like Have a Look, Says Book, illustrated by Kevin Hawkes, All Ears, All Eyes, illustrated by Katherine Tillotson, and In Plain Sight. Jerry Pinkney (1939-2021) was one of the most heralded children's book illustrators of all time and illustrated more than 100 books.
