The purpose of the Foundation is to preserve and guard the authentic memory of Chiara Badano and to keep it alive with particular reference to the spirituality that guided her existence; that is, the charism of Chiara Lubich and of the Focolare Movement (also known as ""Work of Mary""), in which Chiara Badano was raised and which inspired her for the majority of her life.
