Author Information

Paul William Bass was educated in Missouri at Southwest Baptist University and Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He married Jan Smashey after college. Paul served in full-time church staff positions in Arkansas, Alabama and Missouri for nineteen years. In 1990 he went to Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, serving as director of campus activities. At Ouachita Paul also worked as adjunct faculty and the intercollegiate debate coach. He also served local churches as supply preacher, interim pastor and bi-vocational pastor. He took early retirement from Ouachita in 2007 and continues to pastor Anchor Baptist Church in the Brown Springs community.
