I didn't believe in the multiverse until the first door in the fog opened, and I met a version of me who did. We were the same, and we weren't. She had a scar from a decision I never made. But her eyes, they remembered someone. Someone I never knew. Someone who looked exactly like you. From that moment on I chased every fracture and mapped out an atlas of my other lives. There were so many versions of me. Maybe I wandered into someone else's answer. In one, we lived in a cabin by the sea. In another, you never knew my name. But in every one, I found you. I walked through coordinates unknown, and felt the weight of all the lives I never lived. The more I searched, the more I lost touch with the original. Was I still the real one, or just an anomaly echoing through realities? If consciousness can be non-local, then maybe so can our decisions? But I never wanted power, I only ever wanted you. In every world, I found you. And I'll keep finding you. Even if it costs me all the Multiverses that loved me back.
