Author Matt Cooper, a former teacher and USA Weightlifting National Coach, now serves as a firefighter in northern Colorado. At his department, he is a member of the Dive Rescue and Peer Support Teams, the lead Peer Fitness trainer, and a former union president. Above all, he is a devoted husband to his wife, and a proud father to his son and daughter.
