English summary: Catalog of the exhibition held in Trieste (Palazzo del Consiglio regionale) from 9th February to 12th March 2010, with drawings, paintings and etchings realized between 2003 and 2009. Barbara Pinna's art stems from a similar conception and has developed in a direction that is not unusual in our times, building upon her knowledge of the once revolutionary ideas of the old avant garde artists, ideas which are now no longer able to be put into use but, nonetheless, are still full of powerful messages. Moreover, the principle that storytelling should not be the function of painting is a fundamental aspect of Barbara Pinna's concept of representational art. In her work, art becomes the subject of contemplation and therefore also of introspection. It is an introspection that leads to a melancholy journey for, as those who came before us learned, the vision expressed in painting, as demonstrated by these clear convictions, is that of a story completely lacking in action (Claudio Strinati). L'esperienza di Barbara Pinna nasce da un presupposto del genere e si inoltra su una strada che e piuttosto tipica del nostro tempo e che raccoglie le istanze dei vecchi avanguardisti, oggi non piu proponibili ma cariche ancora di tante e potenti suggestioni. Nell'idea figurativa dell'autrice, peraltro, c'e di certo anche il principio della abolizione del racconto nella pittura. L'arte e per la pittrice materia di contemplazione e quindi di introspezione. Una introspezione che inevitabilmente genera un percorso melanconico cosi come accadde agli antichi perche la sua visione della pittura e, coerentemente con cosi chiari presupposti, quella della istoria senza azione (Claudio Strinati).
