Overview

"Imagine animals playing instruments, described in a very rhythmic fashion. This fun-to-read book will help you learn about some animals or instruments you may have never heard of. The rhymes roll off your tongue as the rhythm of the melodic words tickle your ears. So, In All of Your Days Have You Seen the Ways an Animal Plays an Instrument? You will see many different animals in the book as you look for the hidden symbol on each two-page spread. Enjoy the colorful art and pretend you can hear what songs the animals are playing. This book is similar in style to ""Down by the Bay,"" by Raffi (song, as well as book). Perfect for music education, introduction to instruments, pre-reading skills with rhyming, and introduction to new animals."

"""This is not only a fun rhyming book but it is beautifully illustrated too! The concept of the book introduces different types of instruments and animals to young children. The rhyming part is written beautifully and it is also amusing too: 'Did you ever come across a newt, wearing a suit, Sliding down a chute, while playing his flute?' There is humour and it is fun and it is a book that can be read time and time again. This is destined to become a classic! I can't recommend it highly enough."" -UK Children's Author and Psychologist, Jane McGee ""Author Lisa Baker, and illustrator Joy Baik, have teamed up to create a classic story where whimsical illustrations bring the reader through delightful rhyming scenes of animals playing musical instruments. Children of all ages will appreciate 'In All of Your Days Have you Seen the Ways an Animal Plays an Instrument' for the vivid colors and funny juxtapositions of creatures making music while being in, or close to, their natural habitat. This is the perfect book to help introduce kids to unique musical instruments, and perhaps even some interesting animals. After all, when was the last time ""while making risotto, did you ever see a buffalo, sipping espresso while playing the zufolo?"" A bonus feature is the glossary in the back, and if you are like us, it will help kick-start your own animal/musical adventures as you learn about the animals in the book! This is a truly joyous read-the kind of book that after reading sticks in the mind's-eye of parents and children for a lifetime."" -Editorial Review"
