OverviewThe aim of this research was to determine the contribution of pedagogical supervision to improving the professional skills of primary school teachers. The study was carried out in the Circonscription d'Éducation de Base de Ouaga 9, Ouagadougou commune, in the Centre region. The study population is made up of teachers, school principals and pedagogical supervisors. Data collection was based on documentary research, questionnaire surveys and interview guides. The results of this survey revealed that pedagogical supervision contributes to improving the pedagogical skills and classroom practice of primary school teachers. Indeed, the various classroom visits carried out by pedagogical supervisors enable teachers to improve their pedagogical skills, such as regulatory posting, lesson preparation, regularity of daily homework and implementation of individual improvement plans (PAI) and collective improvement plans (PAC).
