Overview

'Impostors is classic Westerfeld. A wild, edge-of-your-seat ride that will blow your socks off.' - Lili Wilkinson 'Impostors is the best YA I've read in years. Truly dizzy-making!' - Jack Heath TWINS. LIARS. REBELS. Frey was raised to take a bullet. She's the body double for her twin sister Rafia - the precious first daughter of Shreve - and her existence is a closely guarded secret. So while Rafi was schooled to be the perfect heir, Frey was trained to be the ultimate weapon. Her purpose: to protect her sister. When their father sends Frey in Rafi's place as collateral in a precarious deal, she must become the perfect impostor. But Col Palafox, the son of a rival leader, is getting close enough to spot the killer inside her. As layers of deceit peel away, can Frey become her own person, and risk everything in a rebellion? As the deal falls apart, Frey must decide: can she trust Col with the truth? In a life built on lies, can she trust anyone? Compulsively readable, full of twists and turns, rebellion and intrigue, Impostors is a thrilling read from bestselling author Scott Westerfeld.

Reviews

'Impostors is classic Westerfeld - whip-smart and packed with action and feels in equal parts. A wild, edge-of-your-seat ride that will thrill UGLIES fans, and blow your socks off if you're new to this unique take on a dystopian future. IMPOSTORS delivers everything we adored about the UGLIES trilogy (hoverboards! explosions!), but with brand new characters, twists, political intrigue and feels.' - Lili Wilkinson 'It's hard to do justice to a premise this good, but Scott Westerfeld makes it look easy. Impostors performs a kind of literary judo, flipping you over every time you think you've guessed the next twist. With spy dust, flash tattoos and jump mines, the world is full of wonder and menace. Frey is a damaged, determined and dangerous heroine - I can't wait to read more about her. Overall, Impostors is the best YA I've read in years. Truly dizzy-making!' - Jack Heath
