In this role he drives digital transformation by focusing on artificial intelligence and predictive analytics. He began his career as a method researcher at Siemens AG, before moving to SAP, where he has now worked for more than 20 years, holding various positions. He is the lead architect for machine learning implementation in SAP S/4HANA and is in charge of all concepts for infusing intelligence into business processes. He studied computer science and philosophy and holds a Ph.D. in computer science. Raghu Banda is a senior director of AI product strategy at SAP Labs, where he is responsible for infusing AI technologies in SAP S/4HANA. He began his career as a software developer and architect in India before moving to the US in 1997. He joined with SAP in 2001 and worked in various roles such as engineering development, customer support and implementations, product marketing, and product management. He has worked with predictive analytics and machine learning since SAP entered this arena in 2012. He holds a Bachelor of Science in computer science and engineering and will soon graduate from the prestigious INSEAD business school.
