OverviewArterial hypertension (AH) is a major cardiovascular risk factor, with a high prevalence in Tunisia but a low control rate. This prospective randomised study, conducted in Sfax in 2024, assessed the impact of impedance cardiography-guided therapy (ICG) in 99 hypertensive patients, compared with standard care. After one month, the ICG group showed a greater reduction in blood pressure and a better control rate (71% vs. 29%, p=0.002). The study also revealed haemodynamic variations according to antihypertensive class. The ICG enabled therapeutic optimisation, suggesting its potential to improve the personalised management of hypertension, although long-term studies are still needed.
