In some cultures, health and harmony being defined as ""being at peace with the self, the community, god and cosmos"". Health has evolved over the centuries as a concept from an individual concern to a world-wide social goal and encompasses the whole quality of life. Concepts of Health Biomedical concept Generally, health has been viewed as an ""absence of disease, then the person was considered healthy. This concept, known as the ""biomedical concept"". Ecological concept The health as a dynamic equilibrium between man and his environment, and disease a maladjustment of the human organism to envioronment. (Dubos, 1968) Psychosicial concept Contemporary development in social sciences revealed that health is not only a biomedical phenomenon, but one which is influenced bysychological, cultural, economic and political factors of the people concerned. (WHO, 1986)."
