122 stories by 59 authors When Bob Babcock and I first discussed inviting AVVBA members to share their Vietnam stories, we thought it would make a nice gift for our grandkids. But as submissions came in, we realized the project was becoming much more-a powerful record of firsthand experiences forming a historically accurate view of the entire Vietnam War. The more we read, the more we urged members to contribute, and the clearer it became that this effort was far more significant than we'd imagined. Every phase of the war was represented-from advisory to withdrawal-every service type included, and every branch, from the Coast Guard to the Army. Bob knew each of us had meaningful stories to tell, but together they reveal The Story of Vietnam, complete and authentic.
