Overview

This is the second and final volume of musical antiheroes and influential groups from the mid-1970's through today in 2025. From the 1970's through the 1980's, we will look at such famous artists and bands such as Bruce Springsteen, Prince, ABBA, Fleetwood Mac, Blonde, Joan Jett, ZZ Top, Sting, Huey Lewis and the News, Madonna, Michael and Janet Jackson, Metallica and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. In the 1990's, such solo artists and bands such as Whitney Houston, Eminem, Pearl Jame, Coldplay, Nirvana, R.E.M, Tupac Shakur, Jewel, Daft Punk and Dr. Dre will be examined for their important positions in the world of West and East Coast rap, grunge.post punk, electronica and alternative music. From 2000-2010, we will look into the on-stage and real lives of musicians like Drake, Rihanna, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Maroon 5, Blink 182, Outkast and other prominent people in pop, R&B, and rap. Lastly, from 2010-205, we explore other iconic musicians and bands such as, Ed Sheeran, BTS, Billie Eilish, The Weeknd and Post Malone to name a few who will be looked at for their contributions to current day music.
