Ruth Symons (Author) Ruth Symons is the author of several children's books, including A Year in the Wild, Christmas Lights, the Paper World series and the Sophie la girafe board books. When she's not writing and editing, Ruth loves gardening, hiking and hosting elaborate teddy bear tea parties with her young daughter. Matthew Scott (Illustrator) Matthew Scott is an award-winning illustrator currently based in the UK. His bold, colourful artwork has seen him working with a diverse range of creative teams to produce children's books, toys, games, apps and animations for TV shows. His artwork always begins its life with sketches using pencil and paper, which is then coloured digitally using various programs and scanned textures.
