He teaches archaeology, ancient history and Sacred Scripture at the Pontifical Biblical Institute in Rome, and is director of the Pontifical Biblical Institute in Jerusalem, responsible for academic programmes and archaeological collection. Josef has a Licentiate in Sacred Scripture from the Pontifical Biblical Institute Rome, and a PhD in archaeology for the Institute of Archaeology, University College London.
