Overview

There are times when a full moon will guide you, a storm will excite you, and a big, blue sky will inspire you to believe anything is possible. These are a few of the many gifts we receive from the sky and universe when life feels scary and confusing. Told by a grandmother to her grandchild, ''If You Look Up to the Sky'' is about the power of everlasting love and the ways the sky connects us through good times and bad. It offers a child comfort in knowing that you never need to be afraid... if you look up to the sky.

Author Information

Angela Dalton was once a producer of video games and other cool things. She likes to think that she chose writing but, the truth is, writing chose her. She lives in Oakland, California, where she spends her time looking up to the sky and writing the stories the universe inspires her to share. ''If You Look Up to the Sky'' is her first children's book. Margarita Sikorskaia was born in St. Petersburg, Russia, where she studied arts and graphics at the Herzen State Pedagogical University. At the age of twenty-two, she moved to the United States. A prolific and passionate artist, she has exhibited her paintings throughout the country. Margarita turned her attention to illustration in 2009, and takes much pride and pleasure in bringing children's stories to life.
