Author Information

"Adrienne Small grew up catching tadpoles in local creeks and bringing them home to observe their metamorphosis first hand. She was curious about color and light after seeing rainbows cast by a glass prism set in a sunny window. She asked questions about her dad's rock and mineral collection...and then, she became a science teacher! For almost 20 years a stuffed bear named ""Wonder Bear"" was her Science Lab's mascot, modeling the importance of being curious and asking questions. In her students' Science Notebooks, science terms were always recorded in blue pencil to help them remember the new vocabulary. (Blue is a clue that it is something new!) She hopes that the children she taught will always be curious, search for knowledge and be inspired by the world of science around them. Tim Blair lives in the bay area with his wife and 2 boys. He is an animator and character designer and loves drawing, sports and playing silly games with his kids."
