Overview

Astronauts, mind-reading, a mad scientist, & a psycho bunny - welcome to the dieselpunk universe of Non-Space Odyssey! Inspired by 1940s pulp magazines, experience a bizarre world with artistic noir pizzazz. Earth is inhabited by a unique species, changing the environment entirely. In this mechanical world, Idiosyncratic citizens receive and transmit their brainwaves inside a collective frequency. Humans have been relegated to haunting fairytale creatures that lurk in the toxic forests waring with Astronauts. Many citizens stay within the safety of the city fortresses; Les'ette, however, has no choice. She has been on the Orphan Train for most of her life, traversing through the dangerous forest waiting to reach emancipation age. Les'ette knows she won't get auctioned to a decent family because of her defect. She is labeled as untrustworthy because her mind cannot receive anyone's brainwaves, and, more dangerously, no one can receive hers. All Les'ette wants is for the little pest, Hattie, to abandon the idea of becoming her sister, and the palm-greaser, No'll, to stop confessing his feelings for her in the meantime. When Les'ette is purchased by the mad scientist, Dr. Upton, the threat of being his next lab rat becomes a disturbing possibility. As she straddles the fragile line of Dr. Upton's sanity, Les'ette becomes entangled in scientific research and simmering chaos.
