Overview

Identity Journey focuses on the systems and constructs that comprise our identity. Developing identity is not a linear, start here and end up here, type of journey. Perceptions of our own giftedness, finding those who recognize and support us as gifted, and finding others who are like us can reoccur as we perceive new additional areas within us and add others who support us and are like us. It is important that parents and teachers have something that they can immediately use when working with gifted learners. This book and accompanying Identity Journey research activity can be used to find out about the identity journeys of gifted famous people and characters in children's literature.
