Raised in the suburbs of northern Illinois, she grew up with a big heart for animals and a wild imagination to match. After a career in healthcare, life took an unexpected turn when a rare autoimmune disease affected her vision. But instead of giving up, the author leaned into a lifelong dream: finishing a story she had started years before-one inspired by a very sick kitten who, against all odds, grew into a beautiful cat and beloved companion for over nineteen years.
