Elizabeth Moore is a native Marylander and life-long student of language and cultural custom. In 2000 she came to Berlin to study linguistics, and stayed for the atmospheric roller coaster ride of rude pedantic punctuality by day/crazy dancing hedonism by night. If she's not leaving a club at noon or working herself down to a nub as a translator, a manager at Markthalle Neun in Kreuzberg, and in the Press Department at the Berlin International Film Festival, it's because she's busy teaching the African refugee drug dealers outside her front door some Berliner German, or being unnecessarily nice to uptight German Berliners. Her favorite drug is coffee, and her favorite Berliners are raspberry-filled with powdered sugar.
