Table of ContentsReviews"""Albert Bjorn's book, Icelandic Plant Magic, described as a ""green grimoire"", explores an often neglected area of Norse magic. Instead of runes and sigils, it deals with the lore and practices surrounding the plants, trees, rocks, and animals found in traditional charms. A synthesis of traditional magic, folklore, and modern magical practice, it includes a rich index of traditional plants and their properties and uses, as well as descriptions of ritual and magical tools and practices. It offers the reader a chance to experience another world of knowledge and to forge a personal understanding and connection to the magic of nature.""-Alice Karlsdttir, Norse Goddess Magic" """Albert Bjorn's book, Icelandic Plant Magic, described as a ""green grimoire"", explores an often neglected area of Norse magic. He spent his days there walking ancient chalk hills, full of burial mounds and folklore. Trading it all in 2017 for cold and seemingly desolate Iceland, Albert picked up his life and moved north. He now lives in downtown Reykjavk, writing, researching, and translating old Icelandic books. He spends his days walking the land around him, learning and conversing with the many plant and land spirits of Iceland. Focusing now on an animistic framework of Nordic magic combined with the Sussex cunning of his homeland, Albert aims to deliver practical folkloric magic inspired by both his homes.
