Amanda O'Neill has worked in education since 1976 and has been a freelance writer and editor since 1986. She has written books on a wide range of subjects and wrote both I Wonder Why Spiders Spin Webs, and Cats. Amanda has never lived without cats - her current feline friend is rescue-cat Jess, a seven-year-old part-Burmese. Amanda lives in Leicestershire, England, with her family and a whole host of reptiles, bugs, and other creatures.
