Author Information

Sandra Yuen is an author, artist, musician, and survivor of mental illness. She received the Courage to Come Back Award and the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for overcoming severe adversity and giving back to the community. She wrote a memoir about her recovery from mental illness to provide insight and aid others, among other works. She uses creativity to release her fluctuating energies and explore her inner being while keeping perspective through humour and the joie de vivre. Her book of poetry entitled I Want To Be Buried Standing Up is forthcoming with At Bay Press.
