Reviews

A Junior Library Guild Gold Standard Selection ""Gr 3-6–Many possible jobs exist within the world of science, and this title briefly describes a few of those career opportunities. Each two- to four-page description gives a brief introduction to what scientists in that field do, the tools they use, and the interests that might lead someone to choose that career. The illustrations show scientists in ¬action with a touch of humor. ¬Eighteen fields of study fill the pages with ¬engaging information, providing just enough to whet the appetite of young readers. More ¬detailed information will need to be found elsewhere. A fascinating glimpse into the world of science for young readers looking to discover their passion in life. VERDICT An ¬informative and attractive introduction to science - careers that would be useful in most libraries serving children."" —Heidi Grange, School Library Journal
