Another poem written at the height of the Vietnam War is 'soldiers prayer', which was written in Iceland.James downloaded images from pictures posted by google when he organized, 'I THE BLACK POET COMES"" in 2023. He downloaded the free images with the utmost respect in an effort to portray the deep meaning of the poems written decades ago.James is an adamant believer in the existence of God and owes any success he has achieved in his hell of life to his precious mother and God. James Marvin Moten was born November 12th, 1947, in Crockett, Texas about nine miles from the Louisiana border. He is the tenth child of fourteen born of the union of Spencer Moten Sr, and Arlishie Harris Moten. Around the age of five his mother took him, his older brother Peter and baby sister Delma with her, and hitch hiked a ride with a friendly Caucasian couple from New York who took the impoverished family all the way to Tucson, Arizona.
