OverviewWhat do you say to a child with past-life memories? Thousands of parents, educators, counselors, and social workers are faced with this very question. Is there a way to validate and encourage the child, without imposing one's own beliefs or violating the religious frameworks held sacred by family and culture? We believe the answer is-- YES! This book, the first in the Magic Heroes series, has been written with precisely these children in mind. Without having to make any authoritative claims about what's true and what isn't, we can simply acknowledge that children grow and flourish best when they are seen, loved, and accepted. When all of their ideas, memories, and emotions are given care and attention by the grown-ups in their life. When they are given space to explore and to express themselves fully. Oftentimes, all children need is the meager-est indication of openness by the authority figures in their lives, for their creativity and knowledge to be unleashed like never before. That little nudge that tells them-- ""If you want to share, I'm here for it."" That is precisely the message offered in this sweet, simple story, written to be understandable by children as young as 3 years old. The inspiration for ""I Remember Another Life"" came in my work as a counselor, doing play therapy with a 5-year old boy. He consistently spoke of memories from another life at home, and occasionally in sessions with me. Sometimes he would describe it in terms of what happened ""with my other mom"" or ""my other dad."" Although his parents were Christian, they were spiritually open-minded: still trying to figure it all out for themselves. They had no reason to disbelieve their child's memories. But they simply didn't know how to respond. So I went looking for a short, neutrally-worded, heart-centered book about past life remembrances... and I couldn't find one! So, I made one. It is my sincere hope that, with books like this, we can begin to support children in a new way. Valuing, honoring, and encouraging kids to express themselves fully. To share everything that they come into this life knowing. Because too often, children's innate ideas and memories are ignored and denied out of existence, to the point that they forget they ever had them by age 7. By supporting children and listening deeply to what they have to say, we have an amazing opportunity: to nourish, guide, and heal young minds in a way that past generations were never equipped to do. As we create space for kids to teach US a thing or two, we unlock a newfound source of wisdom with the power to transform our world. Enjoy! -Michael Vires, M.S. Elementary Education, M.S.
