The author is a currently serving Police Constable in a UK police force, performing the role of a front line 'Response' officer - the same role all new recruits perform. With several years service the author has sufficient experience to offer tips & advice, as well as an accurate perspective of what modern day policing involves; but still not so far down the police career path as to not remember the tribulations of applying for the job and how hard those first few years service are.
