Blindness is a disability that not many know much about. This is my journey into darkness. This book is intended to share how I feel about this, how it has affected my faith and how I view the world now. I wanted to share pertinent information about vision impairment, the way society treats disabled persons and offer personal reflection on attitudes, faith and love.

Sheri McGee is a retired nurse who deals with diabetes and its complications. One problem she deals with now is proliferative diabetic retinopathy. She was told 11 years ago that she would be totally blind within six months. By faith and determination, with multiple procedures and surgeries she still has some vision. She has turned to writing self help books on subjects like grief, communication skills, and now blindness from a very personal perspective.
