Overview

This book is based on a true story with minor adjustments. Dallas is a real horse, and she has spent most of her life traveling from farm to farm. When she arrived at our farm, she was malnourished and scared. Her new owner, Seth, saw her potential and wanted to give her a forever home. She now lives in a big pasture with her two best friends: Nacho and Gorda.

Kathleen Berger is an author, educator, and horse trainer with a passion for storytelling. She graduated from Elmhurst University with a bachelor's degree in English and continued her studies with a master's in professional and creative writing at North Central College. Living on a farm, Kathleen dedicates her time to getting to know the horses, each with their own unique personality and history. This deep connection inspired her to write her first children's book centered around a horse named Dallas. Through her writing, she aims to share the lessons and joys that these incredible animals bring to the world.
