I Lived Through a Windchill Advisory

Overview

ONE POP-TARTONE BETA BLIZZARD OF CONSEQUENCES After his best friend ditches him for the popular crowd, one impulsive bite lands Ray in the principal's office-and straight into a storm of trouble he never saw coming. This middle grade mishap spirals into a high-stakes adventure when a lost bet and hidden stash of stolen coins force thirteen-year-old Ray Larkin to make a tough decision. Now he must brave frostbite and a deadly windchill advisory to do the right thing. Because courage doesn't wait for perfect weather. Funny, heartfelt, and full of middle school missteps, this coming-of-age story celebrates friendships, family, courage, and the power of choices.

Author Information

Annika Klanderud crossed the Pacific Ocean and braved many adventures living in Japan and China for over two years. She earned a degree in Japanese Studies and even won a karaoke contest in Japanese. Now she prefers exploring America with the love of her life-her husband of twenty-five years. Sometimes they even let their twelve children and five grandchildren tag along. Through all her adventures, Annika has included the Bible because it tells us-in God's own words-how He loved us all so much that He gave His own Son for us.
