Overview

We believe everyone can think like like a mathematician and do mathematics - they just have to be encouraged to see how the way they think about math is valuable and purposeful. The reproducible tasks and activities in this book address every Grade 2 Math standard from the Common Core State Standards (CCSS). The activities are formatted as multiple choice, fill-in-the blank and open-ended and are designed to emphasize the Standards of Mathematical Practice, which encourage students to think about and do mathematics in several different ways. An assessment has been written for each domain to evaluate students' understanding of the math concepts addressed in the related tasks and activities. Addition and subtraction flash card puzzles are included in the book. Included in the book are the following math tools: inch rulers, addition table, place value blocks, hundreds chart, and unit squares. 112 pages including answer keys.
