Overview

My parents may have given me the name, Justin, but they had no idea that one day I would be more recognizable as Hali's Brother than anything else. Hali changed the trajectory my family's life forever, and that's a good thing. Growing up with a sister with special needs has its challenges, but it also has provided me with a life I could have never imagined. I Called Shotgun!! shares some of the best stories from Hali's life, from my perspective. There will be some sad moments, happy moments, but most of all moments of laughter. Thank you for joining us in this story!

Author Information

Justin is a Strategic Analyst for Cal Farley's Boys Ranch, and a part-time Instructor of Social Work at West Texas A&M University. Though he wanted to do his own thing early on, growing up with Hali led him back to school where he earned his Master's in Social Work from West Texas A&M University. Though his career has taken a path different than he originally thought, he is very active with the Hali Project in serving adults with special needs on their monthly social nights, and as a kitchen assistant during his parents' (Brad and Karen) marriage retreats. The true blessing is serving alongside his wife, Monica, and daughter, Ella.
