Our Grade 5 class at Salt Spring Elementary has been involved in a year long study of our local creek, Ganges Creek. We have visited it many times throughout the year. We have hiked it's length, played in it's woods, learned about the watershed and it's estuary and the Douglas fir forest ecosystem. In quieter moments we sat beside it to write haiku-like poems and take photographs. This book is a record of our connection with this special place. We hope you enjoy it.
