As a teacher and mentor for the Lord Jesus Christ, it is very rewarding to see a student learn about our Lord and then begin to teach others with that knowledge. It is Titus Baptist Seminary's founding scripture verse coming to life (2 Timothy 2:2): 'And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.' Many have learned, but few take it seriously enough to dedicate their lives to the ministry of Jesus Christ. I am very proud of Trey and pray that God will use him mightily as he fights for the Lord's kingdom. --Dennis Farr, ThD, President, Titus Baptist Seminary, LaGrange, GA You get to know someone real good when you watch the way they live their life for a year! Especially under the strict and confining conditions of a federal prison. The overwhelming characteristic of Trey Chaney is an undeniable love for Jesus Christ and for all of God's people. Trey became my friend and brother in Christ while we walked, worked out, ate, prayed, and worshiped together in the Millington federal prison camp from 2016 until 2017. It was an experience that changed my life and brought me closer to my Savior, Jesus Christ. He has the heart of the Apostle Paul and the zeal of the Apostle Peter. I look forward to spending all of eternity with him in our heavenly home, where he will continue to teach me and tell me every day to 'Pick up dat weight.' His discipline and training was much more than physical--it was spiritual in the deepest sense possible. I love him with all my heart, and this book is a true reflection of his heart and experiences from his five years in prison. --Larry C. Thornton, President/Executive Producer, Red Thread Pictures, LLC, Memphis, TN The Bible teaches that we overcome by the blood of the lamb and by the word of our testimony (Rev. 12:11). The blood of the lamb has already been shed. The only thing left is to share our testimony. Many fail to share their testimony because they are ashamed of their test. I'm grateful that this is not the case with Trey Chaney. From a star athlete, to a college graduate, to corporate America, to the penitentiary, to a successful business owner radically changed by Christ--Trey has a story that all need to hear. His story of how God opened his eyes will give you strength and encouragement to know that God can do the same for you no matter where you are and no matter how difficult life is. --Dr. Thomas Beavers, Senior Pastor, The Star Church, Birmingham, AL
