Thank you so much for the purchasing my book. My name is Shelly Johnson I am an educator from Texas born and raised. I have been teaching intermediate and elementary students for nearly eleven years. I am now pursuing my Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I am passionate about spreading this book and advocating in many communities around the world, my daughter was diagnosed a year and half ago with Type 1 diabetes. It has been a very long struggle and the journey has been challenging. We have great days and some days are not so great. I want all parents to understand they are not alone! With strong communities and the support of our communities, anything is possible. Today we live the most normal life we both can possibly live. As a family, our journey will be long, fulfilling and challenging. However, God did not promise us anything easy, however He did promise it to be rewarding. Therefore, this book is here for parents to encourage their kids, and for both kids and parents to know they are not alone and not to be afraid! 2 Timothy 1:7 For God did not Give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning, fear), but he has given us a spirit of power and love and calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control.
