Before UPES, he worked as an Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Petroleum Engineering, Sri Aditya Engineering College, Andhra Pradesh. He pursued his Ph.D. in Oil & Gas – Modeling and Simulation from UPES, Dehradun in 2018. He has 30 publications, two patents and five book chapters to his credit. He is currently working on hydrogen energy and solar energy applications in agriculture, the application of nanoparticles in drilling fluids and cementation, enhanced oil recovery, and modeling and simulation of unconventional gas reservoirs. Surajit Mondal completed his master's in Energy Systems and Ph.D. in the Renewable Energy domain in 2020. He teaches undergraduate, post-graduate, and Ph.D. scholars at the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies. He has published over 40 International research and review articles as an author/co-author. He has published 65 patents and granted 18 patents against his name.
